![]() ![]() In short: if you solo queue, do a lot of flank watch, or are on the flank yourself, Nomad is better, but if you're all about getting the defuser down, Gridlock is unparalleled. They're both great for falling back and covering the defuser, albeit for different reasons. The M249 fires slower at 650 RPM, but it does 48 damage, has a huge magazine, and the sight picture with the m249's unique scope is amazing. Her guns are also both quite good - the F90 has practically no recoil, and while it doesn't hit super hard, 780 RPM makes up for that. She's decent at flank watch, but I'd say she's not as good as Nomad, and her utility is best used (IMO) to get the plant down. She has smokes, her gadget slows defenders down massively and can make the difference when it comes to running out of time in a post-plant, and the noise that the trax make can cover a defuse plant. Gridlock, on the other hand, is a plant MONSTER. ![]() The ARX is a great gun despite the small magazine, and if you play solo a lot, Nomad can be a great choice. Nomad is one of the best flank watch operators in the game, and nobody can beat her for locking down lanes and keeping roamers from returning to site. Which can be a blessing or a curse, but often a blessing since you can get away with a lot using that sound as a mask.So it really probably depends on what you want to do with either one. Oh, and one thing I think is overlooked is that Gridlock is capable of being the noisiest goddamn operator in the game. The only downsides you’re looking at are low speed and a gadget that can be bypassed if you’re not paying attention. Her gadget allows you to seamlessly transition from flank watch to retake denial. Her AR is very reliable with just about every attachment option you desire and a decent LMG if you’re into that. Both the Gonne-6 and Super Shorty are viable as well as her secondary choices between Smoke Grenades, Breaching Charges and Impact EMPs. Gridlock maximizes flexibility on an operator loadout. You’re left with decent primary options and secondary utility that leaves things to be desired. Her speed rating is average, but worth pointing out over Gridlock. It’s not as easy to counter and generally comes at a cost if it does. Nomad did receive a slight nerf but I don’t feel it would’ve changed my mind if she did it. I’m generally leaning toward Gridlock nowadays ever since a series of buffs and claymores being upped to two each. But if you're using her for what she's good at it doesn't matter. The only and I mean only disadvantage of Gridlock over Nomad is being a 1 speed. Yes she's technically support too but alot more versatile than Nomad. Gridlock is a one woman, thunder thighed, planting machine with no need for backup. She has good guns but on her own she ain't shit and needs teammates to be truly effective. Wastes utility to clear them, gives away defenders positions for longer, slows defenders, hurts defenders covers bigger area, can actually kill low health defenders that aren't paying attention.įact is nomad is a support player plain and simple. Gridlock - Smokes, Gonne-6, a magazine fed LMG with 60 rounds, loud as hell trax (FOUR OF THEM lol). People over-hype the "free kill" aspect as you need to be within a few meters of them, be accurate, hope they haven't got a teammate nearby, react within seconds, and know exactly where they airjab was (Likely only nomad knows this) And we can can absolutely agree that she has a good portion of fat on her body, but having bulk and being 'fat' are different things for me. But I just assumed it was her hip width that was deceptive. You're talking about post plant but what about the actual plant? No i definetly agree that Gridlock has a disproportional butt and legs compared to her shoulders and upper body. But if you're there already, what's the point of the airjab? ![]() It only matters if you're there to get the kill. Whereas with the Trax, it's really easy to read how invested a defender is in keeping/pushing their position by how much effort and utility they invest in destroying your trax.Ī counter-response to your statement on the free kill aspect of the airjab: half the time, the defender already rotates to a different location. 5 - 10 seconds after and it's already stale, and unusable intel. ![]() The Trax allows for a better read on enemy positions. You don't need to worry about AOE or direct line of sight. For plant attempts, I spray my LMG for added noise. This helps my team position more confidently as it masks our footsteps, gadget setup, and plant attempts. Why I like the Trax more than the Airjab: GONNE-6 helps me and my team get rid of that Evil Eye/bulletproof cam that would've rendered my smokes useless. Access to smokes, and now, impact EMP's. I generally use the LMG since I've got good gunners on my team. I played Gridlock more for the following reasons: I use both at almost 80% of the matches I played last season. ![]()
